Our Learning Curriculum

Our play-based curriculum fosters a sense of wonder and curiosity that helps to build their self-confidence and learn important skills like being kind to others.

Starting in our Infant classrooms, our educators will nurture your child’s important phase of development through a thoughtful combination of music and movement, reading and sensory play.

As children move into our Toddler classrooms they will learn through purposeful play to foster social, cognitive, and physical development. Gross and fine motor development occur alongside music, reading, and art.

Preschoolers continue their educational journey with the introduction of “Handwriting Without Tears.” This is a developmentally-appropriate, multi-sensory methodology to introduce children to pre-writing skills and the foundation of letter formation.

Center Leadership

Staff Photo

Laura Greene

Center Director

Laura has been with Magical Beginnings since it first opened in 2000. She was the assistant director and preschool teacher until 2012. She then transferred to MB Wakefield as the center director. Laura returned to Peabody in 2019 as the center director. She is grateful for the many friendships with staff and families that she has cultivated over the last 25 years.

Fun Fact: The Peabody location is actually the home that Laura grew up in! Her grandparents sold it to the founder of MB, who is also her best friend. And, her sister Courtney is the center director for Middleton River Street.

Kalee Morais

Assistant Director

Kalee has been with MB since 2007. She joined as a preschool teacher and provided a magical experience for so many children during her time in the classroom until 2020. She then became the assistant director of MB Peabody.

Kalee deeply enjoys the close relationships she developed with her co-workers in her time at Magical Beginnings. She especially loves that her children were able to attend MB and were taught by her dear friends and colleagues.

Fun Fact: Kalee loves to plan parties!

Food Policy

Families provide snacks and meals for their children. We encourage healthy and diverse food options to support good nutrition, healthy growth, and a well-developed palate.

Families provide all necessary food and bottles for infants. Toddlers and preschool children bring in everything they need for a successful morning/afternoon snack, lunch, and drinks in an insulated lunchbox with an ice pack. All of our centers are nut free which means that no food items may contain traces of nuts, be processed on the same equipment as nuts, or in the same factory as food that contains nuts. Please remember to check all labels as any food that is questionable will be sent home for everyone’s safety.
