Our Learning Curriculum at Wilton
At Magical Beginnings, each classroom is thoughtfully designed to nurture emotional intelligence, spark creativity, and encourage curiosity. We help children build independence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and practice mindfulness in a supportive and engaging environment.
Our enriching curriculum is enhanced by specialty classes including Music, Yoga, Meditation, and Spanish. Throughout the year, we welcome special visitors—like firefighters, police officers, animal rescue teams, and even the Tooth Fairy—who help bring learning to life.
Compassion and kindness are woven into our everyday experiences. Children participate in meaningful community service projects such as cooking meals for local shelters, growing vegetables for food pantries, and creating heartfelt gifts for random acts of kindness. Through these activities, they learn the value of empathy, giving back, and being an active part of their community.
In our Magical Beginnings Wilton Toddler Program, children explore the world through hands-on sensory play, stories, crafts, games, and outdoor adventures. Social interaction and independence flourish as they engage in both free play and guided activities.
We focus on early language development, motor skills, and building confidence through creative learning. Themes are designed to help children understand themselves and their environment, while nurturing their individual strengths and supporting growth across all areas of development.
Our Preschool Program welcomes both 3- and 4-year-olds and does not require children to be potty trained to begin.
This year is all about discovering relationships—within families, communities, and peer groups. Our days are filled with rich storytelling, author studies, and open-ended play that encourages creativity and critical thinking. We support growth in language, fine and gross motor development, and social-emotional learning through hands-on art, free play, small group activities, and outdoor exploration.
Children learn through both child-led discovery and teacher-guided experiences that build foundational skills in math, science, phonics, and mindfulness.
Here’s a reworded and polished version of the Kindergarten Prep (4s/5s) program, condensed into three clear, engaging paragraphs:
Our Pre-K program at Magical Beginnings Wilton is designed for 4- and 5-year-olds preparing for Kindergarten. We structure the classroom like a traditional Kindergarten setting, where children take ownership of their learning, build independence, and develop a strong sense of responsibility and self-direction.
Through rich, immersive themes, children explore their communities, the Earth, and even outer space. Culture, music, art, food, and storytelling are woven into our days as we journey through continents and traditions, sparking curiosity and global awareness.
We focus on emotional intelligence, creative thinking, and strong communication skills, while also building academic foundations in math, science, and phonics. Our goal is to empower children to become confident, compassionate learners—comfortable sharing ideas, solving problems, and collaborating with others.
